4th R K Vir Memorial Lecture January 4, 2017

Institution of Railway Electrical Engineers jointly with Delhi State Centre-The Institution of Engineering and Technology and Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers jointly organized 4th R K Vir Memorial Lecture on January 4, 2017 at National Rail Museum, New Delhi. On this occasion Mr Ashwani Kumar Kapoor, Member Traction, Railway Board was Chief Guest of the Function. Mr Guenther Hans Besser GIS Factory Head, Siemens Ltd. delivered the Memorial Lecture on the topic “Gas Insulated Switchgear”.

Delivering the Welcome address Mr DayalDogra, General Secy, IREE mentioned that R K Vir Memorial Lecture is being organized to pay homage to late Shri R K Vir was a recipient of R10 Outstanding Volunteer Award and was the author of a book “STORY OF CLW”.

Shri Devendra Gill, Chairman, Delhi State Centre-IEI in his address mentioned that Chief Guest of the function, Mr Ashwani Kumar Kapoor, Member Traction/Railway Board spoke on the latest trend in Switchgear technology.

Mr V K Dutt, Former Add, Member/Railway Board delivered vote of thanks. Nearly 100 members, guests & invites attended the programme.
